Little Nyonya

台湾风味 closed down and a new chop called Little Nyonya opened there. So Charlie and I went to check it out.

It was very crowded cause everyone wants to check out a new shop right? But we managed to get a seat there. The menu looked pretty alright too, lots of choices there.

I ordered "rendang beef". Though I'd give it, 5/10. Rendang? No, doesn't taste like that at all, it tasted like satay beef actually. But I liked the long beans? Lol. The butter rice was passable too. (RM9.30)

The drink both Charlie and I ordered was the milk tea, very... Milky? Less of the tea. 6/10. (RM4.20)

Charlie ordered the Assam seafood, it didn't taste like Assam at all, more like a mix of spices, that's it. This was probably more disappointing than mine 4/10. (RM9.30)

I might go there again to give it another try, some other dishes I guess. If it's still.... Pretty bad then I'm not going again.

Spring Leaf cafe

It has been pretty long since I last went to this cafe and honestly I've never really eaten there either. Mostly just drinks.

So today I went with Samantha just to check it out again after such a long time. On a side note, it didn't have wifi there so that totally SUCKED. Honestly, what cafe doesn't have wifi? /end rant.
What made me want to try it out again was cause when I passed by I saw a "wifi" symbol they posted on the glass!

I ordered a cup of cappuccino. It wasn't bad, not extremely good either but passable. I've never really been a fan of their drinks though.

I also ordered Mexicana fries which I thought was pretty good! It's basically fries with cheese, tomatoes, cucumber, onions and dressing.

Service has gotten better too from last time. Plus the interior there is nice so it is worth going.

Nico Nico Douga

As the title says, if you don't know what nico nico is... it's something like a Japanese youtube site.
There are some amazing singers in there and I must must MUST post it.
PS. I love ballads so that's why I chose these. But take note of the singers, not the particular song itself. xD I just chose my favorites from these singers.

Yamai - Last Song (cover of Megurine Luka's)

Choucho - Last Night Good Night

Gero - Just Be Friends

Those sweet notes you make fills my chest with an unknowing excitement.
I feel this uncontainable flirtation.
My breaths quickens, as if you're right down my neck.
Can't get enough of that feeling. Think about it when you're through me.
You got it right, these emotions, movements. They're playing with my mind.

PS. No this is not a sex thing. It's a song thing. Not lyrics, just a song thing.

Song Recommendation 1/8/11

Been long since I've posted a song recommendation post. But I'm trying to keep my blog a little more active.

[[ ENGLISH ]]

Lady Gaga [Americano]
It's been kind of hard to choose a song from her album and I don't want to list like half of her album either LOL.
Americano, has a mix of dance, pop, and those latin type songs which makes it super catchy. And it was probably one of the songs in the album I can listen to over and over again. It feels like a story and like many says, they hope this will be a sequel to [Telephone] (I hope so too! It deserves to be a single).

Demi Lovato [Skyscraper]
I've never thought I'd listen to Demi Lovato but I've seen people raving about the song on Twitter and it was trending too. So I gave it a listen and I was pleasantly surprised! Honestly I never thought this girl could sing this well.
This song is very emotion, not the strongest vocals but it works pretty well and it basically gives an empowerment feeling to it. I love it.

DEV [In the Dark]
You may know her from the song [Like a G6] DEV's getting more and more attention in the media. She never fails to make me delighted with the MVs. Oh I dunno, hundreds of black hands groping her body seems pretty cool.

Jessica Lowndes [Goodbye]
If you watch 90210, you'll know Adrianna Tate-Duncan. That would be singer/actress Jessica Lowndes, and this is a song she wrote which I find pretty good. I like her voice anyways. Waiting for her debut album *-*

I don't really wanna list the 'famous' songs which most people would have already known about.
But here's a list of honorable mentions.
Katy Perry [Last Friday Night]
Beyonce [Best Thing I Never Had]
Maroon 5 ft. Lady Antebellum [Out of Goodbyes]
Reeve Carney ft. Bono, The Edge [Rise Above 1]

[[ JAPANESE ]]

GACKT [Paranoid Doll]
Okay it's unfair to list him every time LOL but this song was what made me WANT to blog. I'm immediately addicted to his new single, yes BOTH songs.
I would list [Episode.0] here too but uh *coughI'veindirectlylisteditherecough*

Onitsuka Chihiro [Infection]
Onitsuka Chihiro probably has one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard. Seriously. This song is full of sadness, despair and yet from there you find strength. Very emotional song and I practically cried ha.

Onitsuka Chihiro [Rasen]
I know I know, unfair I'm listing two but I think this song deserves a spot too. It's a soundtrack from a French movie called Wasabi. I have the movie downloaded but haven't really watched it yet, seems interesting though. The song, awesome. I can't get enough of her voice.

Genki Sudo [WORLD ORDER - in New York]
Okay you MUST watch the PV, it's entertaining xD and the song, let's say it's unique ;D

and no, no Korean songs cause I haven't listened to any. Sorry bout that LOL.
