Alright since I had too many backlogged posts I think the best way without cluttering this post with so much is that I'll just have a picture post with a short caption.

Gackt Episode 0 Single

This was the Japanese phone DoCoMo F-09C which I got.
Wonder if I should do a dedicated post about it... I probably will sooner or later.

An iPhone4! Not a 4S, and it's not mine. Helped my brother to get it and I was just playing around with it. XD
Not gonna get the 4S, though I might consider the iPhone5 or a new Japanese Android phone.
Depends I guess... There are problems with importing phones anyways.

I got a package from Leah! (｡･ω･｡)ﾉ♡ And I loved how thought was put into these items.
I love you wubface to the max.

The ever so awesome Jon got his package to me on CHRISTMAS EVE.
Seriously, these cuteness overload slippers makes me wear em all the time! Thank you so much.

My other WD My Passport almost died on me during my finals, I shit you not.
So I decided to get a dedicated backup drive for my Macbook. Firewire is the bomb! Should last me for awhile :D

Bought tickets to see Jessie J's live here in Malaysia, Sunway Lagoon this March!
Can't wait omgggg.

A MUCH NEEDED upgrade for my Macbook, which is the RAM.
Instead of spending RM800 to upgrade at Apple, or RM500 from a lecturer's friend...
Bought the RAM for RM138 (2x4GB) and my colleague helped me install it. BOOM, 8GB for less than RM200.
Suck on that!

Next needed upgrade- Internal Hard Disk to 500GB I think.

This year, since I'm on my internship, I didn't have time to go shopping at all since I usually get my clothes in Penang... So the way to solve it was to do online shopping. Got all my clothes from an online shop called IndieSin. And I'm happy with the items :] The packaging was awesome too, Mom bought stuff from iWearSin (which is a local Malaysian online store)
Shocking how I didn't buy black clothes at all this year!

Latest buy! Coca Cola flavored lip balm. It does it job, my lips are moist and it smells great, like Coke LOL.

I'm pretty much going crazy over the fact that there's no 9O21O episode this week. So I decided to pimp out my desktop ._. And this is how it ended up. Screenshots below.

Slider off but Winamp is opened. Miku skin :D

Slider is opened, and moved to the right position.

Also I think the new blogger editor is pretty nifty, I can move images around easier than before.

For the curious people - It's Windows XP and I modified stuff around it. Visual theme is installed to change the Start bar. Google "How to install visual theme Windows xx" the "xx replaced by your Windows version. The skin I'm using can be found on DeviantArt, it's called iLimited.

The stuff on the side and middle of the desktop is a program called "Rainmeter" and you can install different skins and themes. I'm using a mixture of different skins and themes so I can't specifically give all. Though two of them are called "iSteve" and "Sony".

The bottom dock is RocketDock so it's a pretty straightforward thing.

Little Nyonya

台湾风味 closed down and a new chop called Little Nyonya opened there. So Charlie and I went to check it out.

It was very crowded cause everyone wants to check out a new shop right? But we managed to get a seat there. The menu looked pretty alright too, lots of choices there.

I ordered "rendang beef". Though I'd give it, 5/10. Rendang? No, doesn't taste like that at all, it tasted like satay beef actually. But I liked the long beans? Lol. The butter rice was passable too. (RM9.30)

The drink both Charlie and I ordered was the milk tea, very... Milky? Less of the tea. 6/10. (RM4.20)

Charlie ordered the Assam seafood, it didn't taste like Assam at all, more like a mix of spices, that's it. This was probably more disappointing than mine 4/10. (RM9.30)

I might go there again to give it another try, some other dishes I guess. If it's still.... Pretty bad then I'm not going again.

Spring Leaf cafe

It has been pretty long since I last went to this cafe and honestly I've never really eaten there either. Mostly just drinks.

So today I went with Samantha just to check it out again after such a long time. On a side note, it didn't have wifi there so that totally SUCKED. Honestly, what cafe doesn't have wifi? /end rant.
What made me want to try it out again was cause when I passed by I saw a "wifi" symbol they posted on the glass!

I ordered a cup of cappuccino. It wasn't bad, not extremely good either but passable. I've never really been a fan of their drinks though.

I also ordered Mexicana fries which I thought was pretty good! It's basically fries with cheese, tomatoes, cucumber, onions and dressing.

Service has gotten better too from last time. Plus the interior there is nice so it is worth going.

It's been kind of hard to choose a song from her album and I don't want to list like half of her album either LOL.

Americano, has a mix of dance, pop, and those latin type songs which makes it super catchy. And it was probably one of the songs in the album I can listen to over and over again. It feels like a story and like many says, they hope this will be a sequel to [Telephone] (I hope so too! It deserves to be a single).

I've never thought I'd listen to Demi Lovato but I've seen people raving about the song on Twitter and it was trending too. So I gave it a listen and I was pleasantly surprised! Honestly I never thought this girl could sing this well.

This song is very emotion, not the strongest vocals but it works pretty well and it basically gives an empowerment feeling to it. I love it.

Something a little better

Alright, from my previous post I've mentioned a Japanese phone- DoCoMo F08-B and after browsing for awhile, I've found some ~~more expensive~~ better phones with better specs.

SH10-C, awesome looking flip phone from Sharp that can turn 180 degrees, waterproof, CMOS 16.1mp AQUOS camera, full HD 3D camera and video. Those stuff, which I admit is pretty damn cool. Plus the design looks good too.

As for the second phone it's a newer generation of the F08-B... It's F09-C, a slider phone and can also flip to the side like in the picture. Camera is also 3D and full HD, 16.3mp and also waterproof. The specs are about the same and functions are both nifty.

So yes I'm in a pinch of choosing, not that I'm buying it right now, I still have some months to think about it... Maybe a month or so LOL. The price compared to the F08-B is... RM1300 vs RM2400 (plus ems shipping) yeah a huge difference apparently, so I'm still not very sure if I should get either one. Both this Fujitsu and Sharp phones are the same price too. Which is the same price as an iPhone too haha.
But no, I may have an iPad and a MacBook Pro, iPod Touch and iPod Shuffle, but I'm definitely not getting an iPhone (yes weird I know!)

So if you could get any of the 3 Japanese phones I've listed, which one would you choose?

I said I'd do a proper post right. Well I've been looking through my stuff and I kept looking at my YFC Swimsuit concert and thought "I bought the limited edition version of the DVDs and I can't watch the MicroSD card because it can only play on certain Japanese cell phones. Bummer."
That leads to my next point where I decided to get a Japanese phone! The downside is that all of the Japanese phones are locked to the carriers. Most of them run on a different kind of network too. So I guess I have to find a way, - using hypersim to hack the phone so it's usable here. But the stuff like Internet and mms doesn't work anyways.

Lots of the phone are very expensive compared to our phones here. But after browsing around, I think I've kind of decided which one I want, but of course I'm not getting it right now. Maybe on my birthday.

Well Im not sure how to continue the "my blog is as dead as..." thing I wrote there but yes it is currently on hiatus.
I think there are blog-worthy posts but I'm too lazy to actually type them out for some reason. Oh well... Though, it's 5am and I'm still awake, why not do some blogging I thought.

The last blog-worthy thing to talk about would probably be my recent purchase. Which is an iPad 2.
Was planning to order it from Switch but the estimated time frame of getting the iPad was almost 3 months, total buzz kill. So I ended up not ordering from them and tried to look for alternatives.
Apparently so many other countries are out of them. My cousin in the US said that it costs 600usd there? My gosh. Australia is out of stock too from what my friend told me. Thailand is a few hundreds more expensive than Malaysia. So my last resort was to order it from the online store. The estimated date of getting it was 3 weeks. So I settled for that.
But just after 8 days of ordering the iPad was shipped! So I got it within 2 weeks which is pretty damn cool. Ilu apple online store.

It's been another "I haven't posted in forever" post. =.=;; But anyways I received the magazines I bought this morning and thought "OH this deserves a celebration!" So that's how I ended up giving my room another makeover as usual.

Pray For Japan

I took time, away from my games, anime and series to blog about this.

On March 11, 2011, a magnitude 9.0 (some reported 8.9) earthquake hit near the east coast of Honshu, Japan. This became the 5th most serious case since 1900.

Everyday, on Twitter, Facebook, TV wherever we go, we hear people talking about this unfortunate disaster. I didn't even want to make a post on this situation because it's just too sad. What's worse is the after shocks and the radiation leakage that's 167 times worse than the normal radiation in Japan.

Anyways all of these can be found in the news and online.

What I can't stand are the cruel jokes and comments that some ignorant tards made. A US comedian, Gilbert Gottfried made these jokes on Twitter (then deleted) that weren't even funny to begin with.

Japan is really advanced. They don’t go to the beach. The beach comes to them."
"Japan had put out this urgent plea….” PLEASE SEND US A FEW BIlLION RUBBER DUCKIES!!!!!”"

He was then fired from his job. Which is what should happen.

As much as I love watching Family Guy, the producer made a harsh joke in this situation, also on Twitter saying...

“If you wanna feel better about this earthquake in Japan, google ‘Pearl Harbor death toll.’”

Not just those people, but a lot of ignorant Americans kept pulling up the history of the attack on Pearl Harbor, saying that Japan deserved this disaster, the people deserved to die and they deserved these losses.

People, learn to let go of the past. Pearl Harbor happened in 1941. It's been 70 years and I bet most of the people who made those Pearl Harbor comments weren't even born yet at that time. But I'm not saying all Americans are like that, I know a lot who are supportive of this and tries to help Japan every little bit.

If we were to talk about the past, the Japanese tortured our ancestors in Malaysia for years. But that was during the war period and honestly, I don't think it applies to us anymore. We weren't there, the people who attacked us at that time aren't here anymore. Things have changed, people changed, the times have changed.

And those people think that only the Japanese were affected? Think of how many tourists, people from YOUR country that were there during the quake, be it for business or pleasure. What if they were caught in the quake/tsunami? Would you be able to make all these crude comments if you knew your family or loved ones or even friends you didn't know that well were there during that disaster? Take a minute to think before speaking.

Enough about the ignorant people. On the brighter side, yes there is a brighter side if you try. The people in Japan are stronger than ever. They are united, everyone is trying to help their own country. Do they not fret or cry over this, they are trying hard to look for survivors, and trying to survive. Even the yakuza are putting down their guns and katanas (well not literally) and trying to help the other people.

Imagine some small flood happening in Malaysia and I bet everyone would panic and run, maybe to some other countries too. Look at how people reacted during the 9/11, or even the Katrina.

We humans are such cowardly creatures, yet they stood there by their nation.

Here are a list of heartwarming comments that were made by the Japanese locals and even foreigners in Japan.

"It was cold and I was getting very weary waiting forever for the train to come. Some homeless people saw me, gave me some of their own cardboard boxes and saying “you’ll be warmer if you sit on these!” I have always walked by homeless people pretending I didn’t see them, and yet here they were offering me warmth. Such warm people."

All of these people were so amazing. I think everyone should learn from them.

People who want to help them, you can donate through Red Cross, or there are several organizations that are helping Japan out.

There are also projects by Japanese artists like SHOW YOUR HEART (GACKT)- translation to the page here. Or for Americans Lady Gaga has designed a wrist band that can be bought through her page, Lady Gaga Japan Earthquake Relief. The bands are only $5 each but one can donate extra. All proceeds go to Japan.

An update worth day!

I pre-ordered the YFC Swimsuit concert - Jacket A. on 21st November 2010, (the release date for the DVD was 2nd Feb 2011). It was sent on the 1st of Feb. (I ordered it on Yesasia) and I received the DVD on the 8th. THANK YOU YESASIA FOR YOUR AWESOME SERVICE! I bet if it wasn't for Chinese New Year, I would have received the CD earlier. Free shipping using courier ems is great, their service has definitely improved. Okay enough marketing for Yesasia lol.

Anyways I watched the DVD last night (midnight lol) and although I was so tired/sleepy, it kept me up the whole time!

Too bad only japanese cell phones can read the microSD card. T_T

The song list is in the pic too. I'll write some impressions of the concert from my memory cause I was too busy watching rather than taking notes and photos LOL.

The audience were all wearing swimsuits (thus the title- Swimsuit). GacktJOB were in beachwear, aka flowery shirts and baggy pants.

The concert started off with ZAN. Gackt held a katana, in beachwear while singing LOL.

Things got interesting in the second song -- Dybbuk. Personally I LOVE this song. Gackt, You and Chacha rapped *_* I must say, I'm starting to think Chacha is getting hawter with age and looks even better than You! And in this song, Gackt started touching himself which would have made a lot of girls AND GUYS nose bleed lol. Seriously the guy Dears were SO AWESOME. I love how supportive they were and crazy about him.

Next song - Nine Spiral. This song is really special imo. Probably cause it wasn't found in albums and it's not performed much in his concerts. (2nd time I think)

Speed Master played next and in Lu:Na he took off his shirt. *this is the part where everyone would have prolly fainted due to hawtness*

The rest were Kimi Ga Matteiru Kara, Mind Forest, The Next Decade...

Hur hur hur VANILLA was next. This was the song that made the whole hall go crazy! Everyone was shouting like hell etc. And the move he did on Chacha phew *fans self* I miss his fanservice. I have to say even the guys went nuts xD I was literally trying to dance along in this song LOLOL. And uh I even rewinded the song... twice. Can't blame me? It's my fav song for a live afterall.

EVER sounded amazing live! So did Justified. These songs need more love.

Jesus played next, it was pretty amazing. Gackt sang FLOWER after that, he started off with no music and his voice was breathtaking. This was one of the emotional songs in the concert.

But the most tear jerking amazingly breathtakingly awesome song was Kagero. Most fans would know this song, it was in Chachamaru's solo album - AIR where Gackt sang this song. So many people cried during that song ;_;

The last two songs were Uncontrol and Koakuma Heaven. For UNCONTROL, it was like the otoko matsuri type, where it was dedicated to the guys and he sprayed the audience using a fire extinguisher. Loved the song.

Koakuma Heaven was SO fun! Huuuuge ass balloons were placed in the hall and the audience would kick it to Gackt and he'll kick it back. The music was different from the single's version but it was really good, very para para-like.

This DVD was the audience cut, so they showed the audience quite a lot. But I don't mind it, it's still really good and from the camera angle it feels like you're in the concert too. Gackt interacted with his fans very much during the concert it was awesome. How many times did I use awesome again? AWESOME.

I was literally smiling like an idiot with my mouth open for the whole concert.

I ordered this dvd, on November 21st last year. Yes I preoredered it. And yes it's almost 110USD = 350MYR. woohoo. I blame the words 'limited edition' or I could have gotten another pair of Aldo shoes. Oh Gackt.

Skin care?

So many girls (and even guys too!) are so obsessed with their skin. I mean taking care of your skin is one thing but obsessing over it is another.

Obsessed with whitening or anti acne, and even anti aging. Seriously okay I get it if some people's skin are acne prone but do you really need whitening and all those stuff? The daily routine of cleaning, toning, moisturizing. Isn't it a pain really? I have tried that, it didn't really help my skin at all honestly. In fact it sort of made my skin worse in some cases. Can't say I used the wrong types cause my skin is a combination skin where it's normal and oily combined. I used Biotherm for combination skin, it didn't work. My skin produced even more oil than usual. Even used Avene, this wasn't so bad but I didn't see changes in my skin or anything, didn't really work then.

So I have naturally fair skin compared to most people around me, but it's not a big deal. You wanna be white? what's so good about it? I tell people you get sunburned easily, and it's easier to get darker too. Asians with the obsession of being white and white people want tans. The grass is always greener on the other side huh?

But honestly I do like my skin tone. And I have to thank my parents' genes cause I don't get pimples ever. HOWEVER I do get blemishes, red spots on my face, especially on my cheeks. And there's no secret in getting good skin.

Mostly important is to have enough water (yes yes traditional, old school too but it works). I'm the type that's really lazy to drink water. But recently I've been drinking lots because I'm sick (sore throat and stuff) so it does wonders.

Other than that, make sure the cloth you use to wipe your face is clean. There's no point in cleaning your face when the cloth you use is dirty right? and try not to touch your face much during the day, as your hands tend to get dirty. It keeps dust away.

For some people who likes to makeup, try not to apply too much? It prevents your skin from 'breathing' and clogs pores. It'll only get worse. Remove your makeup as soon as you can when you're home, with the correct steps and double cleanse. Makeup remover > oil cleanser > normal cleanser you use.

Simple ways of keeping your skin good without relying too much on those skin care products. Of course this method doesn't help everyone in general.

Sleeping = Love-Hate

Sleeping has become a love-hate relationship for me. I love sleeping, I mean who doesn't? But recently I got a sore throat after my fever went down. This is the first time I got a sore throat this bad. It hurts when I drink, swallow, yawn or even open my mouth. I cough non stop whenever the air is cold.

It feels like I went through a throat surgery lol. Hope it gets better soon.

I think this is an overdue rant, that I still constantly rant about. I don't even know how to start this. SRSLY.

Alright so my dad starts using Facebook (quite sometime ago, months? Maybe almost a year I forgot) ... Just cause everyone has one and of course he would want one. Though, what's worse is that he's pretty obsessed with it. I have to say it's not funny if your dad is turning 61, and he's on FB everyday and keeps telling you crap about FB that you don't even know yourself. It's not "IN" either!

First of all things, he used to only know how to turn on the comp. Yes, that's it. He didn't even know how to turn it off. He doesn't know how to register for an email address, so of course I had to do it for him. And his account? yeah I did it for him too.

Other than that, dad doesn't even know how to open the browser at first. I used Mozilla cause I haven't downloaded Google Chrome on the other PC. He asked me to set FB to his homepage... But phrases it something like "set it so everytime I open this thing, FB will appear". So after a couple days, I downloaded Chrome and told him to use it. He's like "I don't know how to use it. How do you open FB?" I was like "=________=;;" Speechless! And okay after typing in the address... he doesn't know how to login.... GOD SAVE ME.

Then a month ago his comp died on him, my RAM died on my desktop. (we have 2 desktops, one macbook pro and 2 other laptops lol) and he sent it to a friend's brother's shop to fix it... Honestly I don't like going to that shop to fix stuff cause there's always problems. But my dad just said to me, and practically shouted "then where do you think I should take it to?" I said "there's the other guy" and he's like "he's almost never there" =.= I just think my dad doesn't wanna bring it there. So.whatever. just bring it to the friend's brother. Don't mind me. Replacing a RAM on my desktop was just fine so it wouldn't have any problems.

As of why my dad's desktop died. HA I LAUGHED. I LAAAUUUGHED. The technician checked and said, everything in the system is too corrupted to the point the comp can't be turned on. Because before that I keep telling my dad not to open all the emails and shit like that. And he would argue like "I only open emails from people I know" and I had the debate where people he knows could be hacked or infected with viruses and stuff blah blah blah all those stuff. I don't remember who said the last word.

But after being told by the technician, I could finally say "Told you."

So after fixing and reformatting the comp, he got it back and in the car he keeps telling me and asking me to set up FB for him again. Wth? He's been using it for about a year and he doesn't even know how to open a friggin webpage? I told him to use the browser to open the webpage and he's still asking me stupid questions.

And after his happy minutes on FB, the comp auto-restarted... NON STOP. I don't even know what's happening lol. So in the end I just told him to use my desktop. We're basically using the same OS. Windows XP on the desktops (don't ask my why not Win7). and before even looking he said "I don't know how to use your desktop." HOW IS THE SAME OS DIFFERENT?"

Now I'm just confusing myself.

Anyways I just modified and changed the looks and themes around, it's still the same thing. So of course, first thing he does... FB. FB FB FB!!! You can see signs of me going mad.

So of course I wouldn't have his login info (I wouldn't remember) and it was at the front page of the site right? The bottom part is for registering and the top is for logging in. He was asking... "Why do I have to give my name and birthday all those stuff again?" =.= KILL ME PLEASE. I seriously try hard to keep my cool. SERIOUSLY. So I said that's for registering, the logging in is from the top of the page. So he asked "How do I log in?" HOW? HOW THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN LOGGING IN DAMN IT. I just said "click on login" ... he took it literally! He said "just click on the button?" So I had to say, put in your email address and pw. He still had to ask "the xxxxxxx@live blahblah?" HOW SHOULD I KNOW DAD IT'S YOUR EMAIL OMG. Can't expect me to remember all your login shit for you now right?

and finally he logs in.

The reason why I'm partly so pissed is that he keeps showing off that he's knowledgable about these tech stuff and can even teach other people! HA what a joke. My mom was trying to figure out how to send a contact to her other phone through bluetooth yesterday and my dad was like "I'll do it for you" and he actually doesn't really know how to do it. My mom just said "you don't even know how to do it" and he got angry. lol =.=;

I think I'm gonna die when he gets the Blackberry. I wish we didn't have to give him one. But hey he wants iPod Shuffle we give. He wants iPod Touch WE GIVE. HE WANTS BB WE GIVE.

Though he never really used the iPods so Shuffle is better off with mom and I'll take back the Touch.

I salute you who finished reading this pointlessly long rant.

PS. I wouldn't mind FB disappearing off the face of Earth, rather... I would like it that way so people can get out to get to know REAL people.

It's the mid of January and classes had been going on for the past 2 weeks. It's also that time of the year again where I get sick =.=; Fever and all that shit. But the fever is over I guess, now it's just sore throat.

The last post before 2010 ends!

I don't think I can say that it has been a productive year, because I can't really consider anything I've done... productive? enough.

Thinking back, some things happened. Forming friendships, falling outta friendships, true colors showing, karma getting back at people, meeting people I've never met before. Basically STUFF!

2010, is a year which lots of moolah was spent too. A PS3, DSLR, Blackberry(s), lotsa gadgets huh.

I haven't thought of my new year's resolution yet heh. Need ideas. Anyone?

Note: I apologize beforehand cause I'm very distracted by the song I'm listening to, which causes me to think about hip swings.

Again, as the title says I'm gonna rant about how some people are so cheap.

Some people can spend hundreds on certain items, ie. clothes, makeup or some other stuff. But you know they won't even spend 10 bucks on stuff they need.

Case 1- Spend hundreds on makeup stuff, maybe an expensive foundation and they don't even blink! But don't even wanna spend 2 bucks on a drink? wth.

I admit I'm PARTLY cheap. I do say partly lol. I can spend a lot on clothes, shoes and stuff, but I complain about how expensive panadol is. BUT I still buy it cause I had a headache and I needed em.

So what about you? Know of any really cheap people around you?

Hip Swing

I just realized that I have an obsession with hip swings. Well, people doing it in the right way anyways xD Thinking back, I did drool over people doing hip swings, though, mostly girls do it right and look awesome in it.

There was one episode of The L Word, I remember Sarah Shahi did it for a short moment while DJ-ing. and I was like DAMN!

Then I kinda forgot about it until I rewatched Brown Eyed Girls - Abacadabra music video, then the performance version. It's hip swing galore *dies*

Okay so I've been raving about this product when I got it. And I'd have to say it's working well :D It became a HG (holy grail) powder/foundation for me.

The package comes like this, usualy Chanel black and gold box, a slip pouch inside, containing the powder. Simple and elegant. Downside is that, it's a fingerprint magnet.

The powder is really easy to apply. Super fine powder makes it blend into your skin so easily.

After applying the product. Mat Lumiere is a 'mattifying' foundation powder, so it works well on oily skin. The shade I got was the lightest one - Lumiere 10.

After 6 hours of application, it darkened a little, so it looks more natural to my skintone and managed to produce a dewy/velvet look instead of making my face look like an oil pan. (it did when I used Bobbi Brown's natural foundation)

Even if I needed a touch-up it's easy to bring along and only a pat on the nose and forehead would do.

You could build up the powder if you need more coverage, though it works perfectly well on my skin with only one layer. Best of all, my skin didn't get any worse when using this product (I didn't get any extra blemish nor blackheads etc) in fact, my skin condition did get better, as long as you double cleanse after makeup :3

The price is... a little higher compared to other foundations you can find at the drugstore (and I for one, not a fan of using BB creams too).

Chanel's Mat Lumiere is priced at RM175. Good thing is that it's refillable, and the refill costs RM118.

The liquid version of Mat Lumiere would last longer than the powder but I prefer this as it takes less time to apply and easy to touch up. And if you have REALLY super oily skin, you could try Mat Lumiere Extreme. I'm not sure about the price but I've heard good reviews about it too.

I'd definitely buy this product again.

Some makeup stuff part 2

Alright here comes part 2! Long overdue lol... anyways I didn't have internet access for my comp so I'm doing a short update for now, just reviewing some products.

Rimmel lipstick

Looks something like this, it's pretty nice, not too pink on the lips and would suit a lotta people I think. Depends on how much you put on.

Anyways this lipstick is pretty cheap, I think below RM20? and smells like chocolate. Rimmel is a pretty good brand to go for if you're on a smaller budget.

Biotherm aqua foundation

Applied some on my hand, as you can see it's kind of dark (for my skin tone)

I don't quite like this product cause if you have oily skin, it'll darken your face. I'm not sure about the price as I got this for free from a relative. Might work well on some people ;)

Tho really, not recommended for people with oily skin.

Loreal Made for me (Naturals)

For Naturals, of course the colors would be earthly tones and browns xD

The colors are obvious after only one swipe, so it's pretty good and I love it.

Recommended for those who don't like glitters in their eyeshadows :D The darkest shadow is really good for replacing eyebrow pencils and the brush given is great for applying it too.

You can draw really thin lines with the brush!

I'm not sure about the price for this either, but Loreal products won't cost more than RM60 for eyeshadows as far as I know. I got this as part of the lucky draw I won. xD

On a random note, my black bangle collection is growing! LOL

One day Toria and I were chatting on MSN, and somehow we were talking about races. (as in people races)

(She's white, I'm Asian) So I started crapping 'bout emoticons and which one would represent our races ha!

The typical stereotype is that Asians have small eyes, or basically just a line I guess. LOL... well anyways the emote to represent Asians is " ;D " genius huh?

And for white people they have bigger eyes so it's " =D "

Evil Asians would have eyes like this " >D " whereas cool white people would be " 8D "

P/S I DON'T HAVE SMALL EYES OMG

What about mixed races? They'd be the coolest ones with " º_º "! I wanna be a º_º too. So if they have makeup on they'll be ⌑_⌑ Mascara volume lashes ;D

Some makeup stuff part 1

A friend of mine asked for a review for some of the makeup stuff I use. So here's a blog post about it.

Here's a product that I got a sample of-

MAC's Prep and Prime Face Protect SPF 50

LOVE this product. First of all I need to state that my skin tends to shine/get oily. So this primer works well as it's lightweight, fast absorbing and oil-free! And having SPF always helps.

Price: RM130 (if I remember correctly lol)

Without SPF the price is around RM90? I think

Next up- Bobbi Brown Sandstone Shimmer Brick

Works as a bronzer/eyeshadow

As you can see the color is pretty intense (which I kinda love!) you can blend it easily with a brush to create a smoky look. Texture is smooth, so it goes on your eyelids really easily (if you're using it as a shadow). I've never really tried using it as a bronzer yet, I might one day.

Price: Not too sure about Malaysian pricing here but it's about USD$38. Should be close to the converted price.

For a cheaper eyeshadow this is Maybelline's Eye Studio.

I got 2 of them. New York Night and Banana Split.

It's lighter compared to Bobbi Brown so you'll need to put on a few layers before the colors become more obvious. It's glittery in real life compared to Bobbi Brown is more to shiny. But it is a cheaper alternative for glittery eyeshadow.

I don't quite like it, cause it doesn't stay on too long. If your eyelids tend to get oily then it'll go off even faster, unless you got some primer on.

Price: Around RM25~RM30

MAC 5 eye color eyeshadow

The color is similar to Bobbi Brown's but a little lighter. and looks smoother compared to it without blending. Both are similar so I guess it depends on the person? When I applied it to my hand, I did 2 layers cause it's a little light (or maybe I didn't get enough of it on the brush haha)

Price: About USD$20?

Bobbi Brown Natural Finish Long-Lasting Foundation SPF 15

As for this product, I have mixed reviews for it. First of all it has great color selection, so you can find a perfect one for your skin tone.

The coverage is pretty light/medium so it's nice that it feels like you're not putting anything on your face.

Pump bottle = love

When you apply it, it's a little matte yet it looks dewy.

It's quite watery actually.

But blends great. See :D

On the downside, it doesn't work too well with my skin in this Malaysian weather. The sun gets to me, my skin will get oily too. It does look natural but doesn't last too long for me (well my skin) So I don't like having my face looking oily as I'm not much of a fan of using oil-blotting paper. It's nice to use if I'm somewhere where it's cool all the time though. I'd recommend something else if you have oily skin.

Price: USD$45 (pretty expensive imo :[)

PS: I should have gotten Chanel instead LOL

Rimmel Pearl Glow Powder

This product works as a finisher/highlighter/powder.

This is one of the rare cases where I actually FINISH using a product. This finisher is great for touchups, keeps your skin looking pretty fresh all day.

Price: RM35(around that price lol)

Mascara! Loreal's Volume Shocking

This mascara is both good and bad. Good is that it stays on! It really does and well, that's also the bad part. It stays on too well, it's much too hard to remove! LOL.

The mascara's brush looks like this. I quite like it though xD

I'm not sure about the price for this one, nor have I seen it in the markets o_o; I won whole set of Loreal products so this was included in it.

Side note: I'd recommend Maybelline's mascaras cause they're pretty good and reasonably priced too for people with budgets.

Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof (Ebene)

This eyeliner... works amazing on my upper eyelid. Though on my lower lid it'll smudge as my lower lid tends to have a little more oil throughout the day. The black is really black and application is smooth. Use it like a pencil/crayon. Don't have to worry about it being blunt. A sharpener is on the tip of the eyeliner too. Packaging is awesome *-*

Bad pic of it on my hand but you can see the texture (slightly!) and it's really smooth to apply.

On the downside lol... Price: RM78 (which is expensive for eyeliners!)

Could try going for EMPRO (RM38?) liquid eyeliners. Takes a bit to dry but it's black enough and pretty good application. Other crayon/Khol eyeliners I've tried - Lancome (smudges too much I'm afraid to use it anymore lol) and Loreal- Not bad but not black enough, looks metallic.

So Chanel is by far my fav.

On to lips! I didn't take photos of my lipsticks (yet) so I'll leave it for next time.

MAC Cremesheen Glass Brillant A Levres

I love this gloss. It has a slight pink to it and if you applied concealer beforehand, then apply this gloss = love.

It looks somewhat like this lol. (yes me 5 months ago whee)

The gloss smells like white chocolate, you might just wanna eat it lol. As for how long it lasts, I'm not sure cause I tend to drink/eat throughout the day ;D The texture is REALLY creamy so when you apply it, have to take some time to even it out. But I still love this product.

Price: RM80 (ouch)

Rimmel is a cheaper alternative - RM20 or so.

And most importantly! After makeup, you need to remove it!

Cyber Colors Makeup remover

I really like this product. Even Chanel's eyeliner comes off so clean. Plus it doesn't feel oily at all. Great for removing waterproof makeup. I've tried other brands like Loreal and Maybelline and Simple. Loreal works pretty well whereas Maybelline will work after removing a couple times. But it's oily. (Those were cheaper alternatives) Simple's remover is oil free.

But this is the best one for me. There's another brand I can't remember which is supposed to be great but I didn't get it cause I was broke at that time (RM80++)

HA! I'm still alive. I'm getting worse at updating my blog =.=; I'm not sure I'll write much cause I don't even know what to update anymore. I need interesting series of events!

First of all, it's my 2nd week of my sem break. (means it's almost over *sigh*)

I dyed my hair the next day after I came home. ♥ Used liese's bubble dye, it was really convenient and not messy at all! Just like shampoo. One bottle is enough for 2 people though. (for my hair length).

The color I used was "Ash Brown" I loved the results but due to my previously bleached-a-bit hair, the color lightens from every hairwash. :( which is sad actually! I still want dark colored hair now. SRS BIZ!

On another day, my brother came back home from Penang. Thus to the game store!

I wanted to get a PS3 game Heavy Rain (Region 1, cause Region 3 has lots of censored parts) Sadly the store only carries R3. (sad case #2 in the post ha)

So Digi posted something called the September Promotion on their site which made me go OMGGG. They had a promotion for Blackberry Bold 9700, costing only RM999 for the phone! (with 24 months contract of course). Without the contract it's RM1999. and the old price of the 24 months contract was RM1299. So damn this is worth it right?

But they didn't have stock for the phone so I had to wait for my dad to receive a phone call from Digi when the new batch of phones arrive. Guess what? I came back home on Friday and my dad got a call on that day too!

As soon as I got off the bus and got into the car, we went over to Digi and BAM I got a new BB *-* *hearts*

Resident Evil: Afterlife

Before you continue reading anything, this blog post will definitely contain spoilers. So stop reading if you haven't watched it and don't wanna spoil it for yourself. :D

After months and months of waiting, I finally watched it today! (normal one though, not 3D)

It starts off saying that even the 'safe haven' aka Umbrella Corp isn't safe anymore. We can see Alice making a comeback trying to destroy Umbrella, with the help of her clones too. A lot of slow-motion scenes in the fight scenes too, which is a love/hate relationship for me. Slow-mo is cool but I love my action thriller films having fast fight scenes, making it intense.

If you have played the Resident Evil games, then some characters' names would be familiar. The first antagonist we meet in this movie is Albert Wesker. (honestly, I didn't like the actor for Wesker LOL... he didn't have enough... Wrinkles? on his forehead lmao!)

Months later Alice is still on the search for survivors, she was about to give up. But then she found someone! - Claire Redfield but she attacks Alice. If you're familiar with the whole storyline from Resident Evil 5's game... then you'll know what device is attached on Claire's chest that caused her to attack Alice and lose her memory.

Later on they found a couple of survivors... So they try to escape together. Chris Redfield makes an appearance again in this movie. Ouh and the 'zombies' we see, some concept were taken from RE5 too, they have 'flower' like things coming out from their mouth, which is just like the Majinis in the game... and Executioner makes an appearance too xD

There were quite a few scenes that would shock you lol... because of the sudden appearances. In the end, they found Wesker again and he's infected by the T-Virus (Uroboros? LOL) but it gives him superhuman abilities. Just that it is hard for him to control it. He makes the conclusion that only Alice's blood managed to merge with the virus completely so if he 'devours' her then he can gain full control of the T-virus. But of course he dies in the end...

Then we see helicopters flying towards Arcadia... an army of trained fighters for Umbrella... Lead by JILL VALENTINE. woots. I love that she finally appears but that's the end of the movie LOL. which leaves space for RE5? :D

Oh you RE5 gamers know why Jill is the bad guys don't you ^_^

Day before yesterday, Charlie, Wen, Junz and I went for a movie after class.

Piranha!

I must say. That movie... is totally BAD! Really bad lol. Mostly gore and boobs. Uh boobs. Watching it in Malaysian theaters, even though it's rated 18, a lot of scenes were cut from it. Especially some 'licking' and 'kissing' rofl. I almost fell asleep watching it. Plus, the plot was really predictable too.

Before the movie, we had an 'annual meeting' with Cong and Lawrence too LOL. Definitely must do it again!

Lol yesterday night was probably one of the lamest events I've ever been to. Like seriously.

It's for completing some manhood course thingy. Of course it's a church/christian event. So now the graduates are REAL MEN. idk.

Her most prominent role would be Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl. She's the b*tch and Queen Bee that everyone hates in the beginning but turns out to be the most charming and lovable character in the whole series. Her popularity as Blair even beats the ever-popular Serena van der Woodsen.

Other than this role, she played smaller roles in many other series.

Finally went to McD after a long long time. (yeah surprising lol) Got GCB, and thought it was so-so. I prefer my quarter pounder lol. Grilled chicken with veggies and tartar sauce.

On a side note, I hate traveling back to Penang since the Puasa month started. The bus stations are always so damn crowded and it'll probably take hours to queue up to get on a bus. Bribing works but it's a waste of money each time. T.T The sadness of not having a car aiyahhh~

Movie Thoughts

OOkay, this post is more about my thoughts on these movies, not really reviews (thus the title). So I'll just comment on a couple movies that I've recently watched, one of them isn't really that new though xD

Vampires Suck

Lol this movie isn't even out on the big screens yet, but I did have some sources so I've finished watching the movie before it even came out.

First of all, I'm impressed at the movie! Seriously lol, the actors they've found, locations, everything! It's easily recognized as it's pretty much the same from the original movie -Twilight. I might get stoned for this but I think the "Edward" in Vampires Suck looks hotter than R.Patz. lmao. (Note: His name is Edward Sullen) XD Plus the 3 Vampires that's after Bella, lool BEP? And finally they've solved the mystery of why Jacob always takes his clothes off!!

It's really an entertaining movie that keeps you laughing if you've watched Twilight and don't take it seriously (yes I'm talking to you haters). It's just a spoof, and not everyone likes Twilight btw. I don't get the spazzzzzz about it. Maybe I'm a nerd =/

So if you're not a Twi-hard-fan, but have watched the movie, do watch this spoof for a good laugh!

Date Night

Another comedy film! Yes obviously I love comedies = ='' they're good for our health :D As much as I love these two actors, especially Tina Fey, I couldn't say that this is a good comedy. Somehow, a normal couple getting involved with underground politics and stuff cause they took someone else's table, then almost getting killed.

It's a pretty alright popcorn movie to be watched on the weekend when there's nothing better to do. Some of the lines in the movie was good too.

Salt

As I've said in my previous post, I love the movie. The whole thing doesn't have much of a plot, it's more about how Evelyn Salt's process of running away or plans. It won't take toooo long for someone to guess Who Is Salt? when watching the movie. You can probably guess it about halfway through the movie, or three quarters through it to find out who the real villain is.

It's been compared to recent Bond movies lol. And apparently Salt kicked Bond's ass. SALT is action PACKED! and it keeps moving at a rapid pace where there's no room to breathe.

I know this movie has mixed reviews so it's up to the viewer to think whether it's good or it's not. To me, I loved it. Ange is doing what she does best.

Inception

Okay this was the most recent movie I watched. (so it gets the longest post)

Christopher Nolan did a good job in The Dark Knight, so I'm wonder if this would top it, apparently no TO ME. (Note: TO ME). Sure, some people even bragged it to be "THE BEST MOVIE OF THE YEAR". Really? What about Avatar? When it came out, people said it's the best movie ever etc etc. I fell asleep within half an hour through Avatar.

But enough about that lol, Inception managed to keep my interest so I watched the whole thing yay. I.am.NOT.a.fan.of.Leonardo. ==" He irked me in the movie... seriously. Maybe that's why I didn't quite like it?

But I LOVED all the other supporting actors! Seriously! I think they're outshone Leonardo in it. Joseph Gordon-Levitt who played Arthur in the movie was really good, I loved his acting and but especially loved his lines and his way of portraying his character. Ellen Page is... well Ellen Page lol! She's good. The guy who played Yusuf in it made me laugh so much, I love him. I am happy to see Ken Watanabe in theaters again too!

As for the storyline, you'd have to watch the whole thing from the start til the end or you'd probably be very very confused in the end. I guessed the old man who was in the beginning of the film before the quarter of the movie ==; Though the ending would keep you thinking. It's a pretty good movie but I wouldn't say it's really really awesome. Worth watching though.

Tourist for a Day

Today's class was canceled because the lecturer was busy or something. So Charlie and I decided to be 'tourists'!

Outfit of the day- I wore a hat, black basic tee and a long skirt. Charlie had a green spaghetti strap and white shorts XD

We got on the bus and got off at Macalister Road, walked around and went to have lunch at "Delicious Penang" lol. Damn we got charged RM2 for a can of ice lemon tea! Plus they didn't give us ice (which they did to the locals). So after that, we continued walking... (we didn't have a plan on where to go!)

Epic incident of the day - We passed by an Indian uncle... a VERY FRIENDLY Indian uncle who was saying "Hello hello!" to us when we were passing by, so I just smiled (courtesy) and he kept asking us "Where you girls from eh?" I pretended like I didn't hear him and TRIED to quickly walk away, BUT guess what? He grabbed my arm LOL. I couldn't run away that way huh =.= So he asked where we're from again. I thought, if I answered a western country, he MIGHT hug us LOL so I said "Singapore" instead, and he grabbed my hand again for a handshake =.= which was forced on I guess. He grabbed Charlie's arm too and shoulder hurrrr. When we were leaving he tapped me on the shoulder again and said "welcome to Malaysia!" lool.

The rest isn't too interesting, we walking around til Gama, then Komtar, then Perangin areas and then went back to our hostel haha.

SALT

Went to watch Salt today :3 Fuck it was A-W-E-S-O-M-E. The whole storyline wasn't what I expected in the beginning, keep getting wrong guesses in it LOL. So it was damn worth it. And Ange back in action? It makes even girls swoon.

The year passed by pretty quickly huh o_o it's August now. I've realized that there's been a lot of female leads in films and television lately, and I absolutely LOVE it! Female powah HA!

What ass kicking female power would be without Ange! She took the world by Tomb Raider, she's better than Bond, no not Bond girl, BOND! And now she's back with another action film - Salt. Weird name but whatever, as long as we get our dose of Ange and all's good.

Sarah Shahi

She'll always be Carmen de la Pica Morales. I liked The L Word, but I LOVED it when Carmen appeared. She was in a series called "Life" where she played Dani Reese, a detective who previously an undercover narcotics agent and now a recovering drug addict and alcoholic. But the show was canceled.

But we'll be able to see her again! Yes a USA network took up a series called Facing Kate, where Sarah got the lead role - Kate Reed, lawyer turned mediator.

Olivia Wilde

Please do not tell me you do not know who Olivia Wilde is! Omg. If you're a fan of 'House M.D' then she's the one who played Dr. Remy Hadley aka Thirteen. Or from The O.C. Hot blond chick known as Alex Kelly that hooked up with Seth and Marissa? xD

Her hotness is acknowledged by other celebs, Megan Fox once said, and I quote "Olivia Wilde is so sexy she makes me want to strangle a mountain ox with my bare hands." Me too! XD

Olivia will be in the film Tron Legacy (release date unknown, probably December 2010), and she kicks ass in it! *-*

Piper Perabo

She's as cute as a button :3 I'm not sure if too many would know her. Long time ago, she was in Lost and Delirious. Then she was also in "Imagine Me & You" with Lena Headey. "YOU'RE A WANKER NUMBER NINEEEE!!!" God it was epic.

She's now in a tv series called Covert Affairs, it's pretty new. Annie Walker- CIA. She's able to speak six languages fluently too. Woot talk about awesomeness.

Maggie Q

Heard of Nikita? Well Maggie Q is gonna be playing Nikita!! I can't wait for it to be honest xD More ass kicking coming our way. What could be better than a female assassin lol.

'Take It Slow' somewhat reminds me of 'Don't Let Me Down' by Leona Lewis. And 'Move' sounds like something Chris Brown would sing in English LOL. I make the 'best' references huh.

This song makes me wanna dance! The lyrics of the chorus isn't too hard, catchy and makes you wanna sing along while shaking your booty. Well if one can remember the whole song's lyrics, it'd be a fun song to sing in the karaoke.

C.N.BLUE - I'm a Loner

I can imagine this song to be sang in a capella style, snapping your fingers and singing it. An enjoyable song to listen to actually. The melody and vocals are pretty good overall.

Big Bang -- Foolish Love

I don't know why, but the melody of this song reminds me of a chinese song. o.O;

A typical Big Bang styled ballad with parts of rap in the middle of the song. All of their songs sound decent to me, but I haven't encountered one that really catches my attention. I tend to forget their songs after awhile lol.

Fat Princess

Absolutely love Google Chrome themes. This one's by far my favorite.

Also, I was playing the demo of a game called Fat Princess, it is TOO cute lol. Fun gameplay though. You have to rescue your princess from the other castle, strategy game. And you'd also have to prevent your prisoner (the other faction's princess) to be saved. And why is it called Fat Princess? Well the princess ain't fat but you'd have to keep feeding her cake to make her fat. The objective? To make it harder for the rescuers to save her LOL. She's be too heavy to carry anyways. xD

Summer Anime 2010!

It's already been quite a few weeks since the summer anime started (well, some of them). So I'll be listing the animes that I've watched and maybe give some opinions. (keyword: Maybe)

Ookami-san to Shinchinin no Nakama-tachi

I'm not too sure about this anime though, probably not for my tastes. After about 4 episodes I'm still not too sure whether I'll finish the anime or just drop it halfway.

Amagami SS

Originally a dating simulation game, it is now made into an anime.

I finished watching the Morishima Haruka arc (upper right girl in black) and she's seriously too cute. xD Captures the hearts of many. So the first arc was good, I'm just hoping the rest of the series won't end up as a disappointment.

The Legend of the Legendary Heroes

Okay that is one cheesy name. And a total turn-off to watch the anime. Honestly, I almost skipped the anime without even giving it a chance because of the lame name lool.

But thank god I didn't. To me, it might just be the best anime of the season. Unique storyline, interesting characters. Anti-heroic anime with comedy. I absolutely love the lines in it.

This is a MUST WATCH.

Mitsudomoe

The story revolves around these three sisters, known as the Marui triplets. It's an adaption from a gag manga so yeah there's a lot of jokes. Similar to Kodomo no Jikan but I prefer this anime more.

e very... well, extreme personalities. Futaba (left) is the second sister, good in fighting, extremely strong, but also extremely perverted. Mitsuba (middle)- eldest is sadistic lol. Hitoha (right) is the youngest. She's mysterious, and loves reading erotic material XD If you love comedy, then this is a must watch.

Seitokai Yakuindomo

Another anime about the student council. If you liked Seitokai no Ichizon then this might suit your tastes too.

An all-girls' school is now co-ed, but there aren't too many male students yet. A male student (the lead) gets forced into joining the student council.

There he

meets 3 of the members. The president - honor student, perfect role model, she has good grades, good looks, perfect manners, good in sports too. But she loves talking about perverted matters/sex related topics. The secretary (as in the picture), she's the typical-rich lady. Gentle, motherly like figure. But she loves talking about sex as much as the president does LOL. The treasurer, is a loli, a genius but gets teased at because of her height.

Well it's a pretty fun anime to watch to pass time.

Boobs and zombies. KICKASS! What else needs to be said lol.

Seikimatsu Occult Gakuin

A school that has occult all over it. Then there's people from the future, then Nostradamus key etc. Confusing but I absolutely love it! Mystery animes are awesome. And the main character is awesome too!

Another MUST WATCH of the season

Shiki

Another mystery/supernatural/horror themed anime of the season. But this one I do like too. It's somewhat like Higurashi no Naku no Koro ni. People start dying of unknown reasons. Another reason why it's on my watch-list... GACKT has a role in it too. Yes GACKT :3 so I'm gonna watch it.

Another 2 weeks break! Phew. Anyways I've been awful and updating my blog, seriously.

The latest issue of Seventeen features Nina Dobrev. For those who may not know her, she plays Mia Jones in Degrassi. Or her latest show- The Vampire Diaries. She stars as Elena Gilbert/Katherine in it. Why am I stating this? Because the previous issue of Seventeen features Ashley Green on the cover. (She plays Alice in Twilight) sooo... what's up with the sudden vampire trend, again! Not that I have anything against it, I mean I love vampires lol. So who's next on the cover? Anna Paquin? Probably not because - 1. She's not a teenager? 2. She's bisexual? Who knows?

Speaking of Anna Paquin, True Blood is currently airing season 3 right now, and I have to say, it's getting better and better! Man I regret not watching the show earlier but I managed to catch up to it now. Watch it if you love smut and vampires ^^

Google Chrome vs Safari 5

So I've switched over to Google Chrome for quite awhile now (using Safari before that) and I have to admit I do love it. Lightweight and it loads pretty fast. I've updated my Safari to version 5 when it was out, tried it out again and thought it runs better and launches much faster than before. Plus now there's the new "Reader" option (which is a pretty cool feature I mean) and other bits here and there.

So I'm seriously considering switching back to using Safari x.x; And do not say Firefox all the way, cause I don't use it on Macs anymore, though I do have it installed.

Pretty Little Liars

I've managed to stumble across this new series - Pretty Little Liars. And I'm not lying if I say it's pretty good. You could google it up.

As for fan of The Vampire Diaries. An alternative choice of show to watch while waiting for the second season would be True Blood. It's currently in season 3, and the show is still good! Maybe better xD SOO-KEH. Rofl. Followers of the series would know why that was funny though. It's definitely a smuttier version for a vampire series, but hey I love my smut.

Well some of you may know that my MacBook Pro's screen 'died' on me the 2nd day I was at Cameron. (If you follow my Twitter or Plurk) So after going back I've sent it in for a diagnosis. Rofl I'm making it sound like letting the doctor check what's wrong with my baby.

So anyways I got a call today from one of Switch's engineers and it seems like there was actually NOTHING wrong with it! I know right NOTHING. So how did the screen died? Well apparently he told me that due to shaking/knocking... I never hit my MBP before nor made it fall =.=; the wire connecting the display to the motherboard came off or it was loose. (prolly came off) and after connecting it, the display was working fine again.

This is definitely a huge relief for me. I'm like... "I've spend 4.5k on a laptop and I can't believe it'll die on me within a year!" But seriously, I'll be needing Apple Care Protection Plan soon since my warranty is almost up. Dang it's like RM900. X.x So I'll be collecting my MBP soon. I MISS YOU! xo.

Yet again on Thursday, we went to Gurney Plaza cause I had some stuff to do at Switch. So we had dinner there too. Char suggested we eat at 台湾风情味 (Taiwan food?). I thought the place looked fancy xD Thinking it would be pretty pricey, but to my surprise, it was actually pretty cheap!

A funny, not so funny twist of fate

Well yeah the title.

Anyways I was ready for a class rep's meeting today at my college. Ting, Charlie and I went there together and met up with CK later. (Real class reps- CK and I) lol. Both were just dragged in for fun.

So we sat in the small lecture hall to wait for it to start. Then Sasha started talking, I was like "Where's the vice principal?" o_O it wasn't like the usual meetings. So it didn't take long before we realize it WASN'T the class rep meeting LOL.

We ended up at the SRC meeting. (Student Rep Council). Man I actually considered joining the SRC before but I didn't take any action, and today I ended up in the meeting (ACCIDENTALLY!) Fate is playing twisted games on me =.=;

So yeah I thought "why not?". There was supposed to be an interview today but we had class so the interview will be held tomorrow. Omg what to do? XD

I was talking about Beyoncé's concert for those who may have thought otherwise ==; I had some time today, decided to pop it into my PS3 and play the whole thing XD Took some occasional photos too.

I don't really buy American concert DVDs but this one is definitely worth it. It's awesome and it gives a totally different feeling from other concerts I've seen. Like she wanted, it was intimate. And the songs, they have a much deeper meaning to them than the catchy chorus or lyrics. The origins of the song, why it was written. Beautiful.

Alright some people may know that I've completed the game recently as I've 'announced' on Facebook and Twitter, Plurk too. Anyways I say I'd post something about it. Come to think of it, I'm not really sure what to write o_O So I'm gonna just crap and go along...

The game took longer than I expected. I planned to finish it within 2 days LOL. But I kept backtracking and played the previous stages to earn money to buy items and whatnot. To be honest, the game was harder than I expected. I was thinking on the lines of DMC style since.. it's from the same director - Hideki Kamiya from Platinum Games (converted to PS3 port by SEGA). I was only playing on Normal mode and I've died several times in some stages to the point I wanted to give up lol. Timing is critical in this game too. Dodging and even some cut scenes require you to mash certain buttons to escape something etc or you're dead. I've also tried Easy Mode (didn't try Very Easy) and... I swear you can play the game with only one hand baby. It's damn boring =.=;; srsly.

The storyline is pretty damn interesting I should say. Wasn't really what I expected at first. Character relationships, development, they were all pretty good. What else... oh the items and weapons, not as easy to get. Some of the weapons and accessories are pretty straightforward. The final 3... yup those are the hard ones. I remember reading that one of them, you have to completed 100 chapters (YES ONE FUCKING HUNDRED) on Normal or higher (there's Hard and Non-Stop Climax mode). One accessory is that you complete the game within 3 hours ==; even better.

As for the soundtrack, I like it. Not sure if everyone else would. It's pretty... classy, with spunk and more to the feminine side per say. I adore the remixed version for "Fly Me To The Moon". If you're interested to listen to it, I'm sure it's on Youtube. (Cause the whole soundtrack has 5 CDs - 150 songs... if you want it I have the link to download it lol, or just the song from me.)

To put it short, this game is really worth buying. It has high replay value, I don't know how many times I've already replayed the chapters. and I'm typing this fast cause I wanna continue earning some halos (in-game money) and then get some stuff XDD For people who owns an Xbox 360 or PS3. GET THIS GAME!! (Mine's a PS3 version... you'll have to install the game though for faster load times, or it'll kill you waiting, seriously)

Demo Reviews (PS3)

So I've mentioned in the previous post that I'll be writing a bit on the demos I've played. So here it is!

Ninja Gaiden

Honestly, the first thing I said was "Thank god I didn't buy this game!!" I'm dead serious about this though. I'm not sure whether it's the demo's problems or it wasn't 'complete' yet. The main complaint I have is about the controls. Sometimes overly sensitive or sometimes not responsive at all. I can't really move around without mistakes and this is really deadly in this kind of genre's games isnt' it? Imagine falling off the cliff because the controls weren's responsive enough.

Other than that, I thought the graphics were mediocre. It's not up to PS3 par where I expected but it was still acceptable. I didn't finish the whole demo was it was pretty boring to me. If anyone has the game, please tell me what you think =.=;

Heavy Rain: The Origami Killer (Must get!!)

I've been waiting for this game for like... a long long time. Ever since it was announced. And I finally downloaded the demo for it. It's a slow paced game, crime and investigation. You'd have to walk around looking for information and be observant in it. This game is very interactive though, basically you're in control for every single action your character does. It's also done in real time, as in there are 4 (I think?) characters in the game and you'll be controlling one. What your character does will affect the other 3 characters causing a different type of event/scene to happen. That itself is pretty interesting.

Graphic-wise. It's stunning. Some characters doesn't look that good but overall it's very realistic. The gameplay is very unique in its own way too. I'm definitely getting this game later, not now since I've gotten 2 games and they're too costly here ;_;

Dante's Inferno

I've got mixed feelings about this game. It's like Devil May Cry meets God of War. My first impression was... "This game's graphics is STUNNING!!!" And I do mean it.

Just look at this screenshot for it. As for the gameplay... I think it's pretty typical, like the normal action adventure games. But if you're asking if I would buy it... the answer is probably no. Amazing graphics, but nothing else really caught my attention.

Oh did I mention that there are topless girls inside? LOL

Lair

I don't have much to say about this game. Totally not my type, so I wouldn't ever get it. The gameplay... how do I say... you're on a dragon... flying around attacking people and protecting your country? Yep pretty much what I got from the demo so it's boring to me. Graphics weren't exactly good, just plain too.

Mirror's Edge

It reminds me of the first Persona game... it's in first person view. It's a fast paced game, where... everything goes FAST! And I do mean really fast. Your character doesn't stop, you have to run, jump, JUMP long distances, run away from bad assed guys who chase you around with guns and start shooting for no reason. Graphics aren't exactly stunning but I do love it.

Not something I would get but it's sometimes a nice change of game to try.

So the only one I mentioned that is recommended by me would be Heavy Rain: The Origami Killer xDD

Very SHORT Game Reviews (PS3)

Well yeah I figured I don't wanna continue gaming at the moment, cause if I did... God knows what time I'll stop LOL. And I gotta wake up early to go to the bus station and head for Kampar tomorrow morning.

Anyways, I think I recommended 2 games, LittleBigPlanet and Resident Evil 5.

I traded my LBP for another game cause it just wasn't fun enough in Single Player mode. T.T

I got White Knight Chronicles and Bayonetta. The rest of the games I've only played the demo versions.

White Knight Chronicles

What attracted me to get this game? Only 2 factors. The cover looked really good, and the fact that it was an RPG. lol. Anyways what can I say about this game is that... It wasn't really up to my expectations.

Graphics- Honestly, they weren't really considered as good for a PS3 game. Usually the cut scenes would look better compared to in-game graphics but they look pretty similar in this case.

Storyline- As for the storyline... pretty linear actually, typical boy meets princess, princess gets caught, boy obtains power, boy saves princess lol. I can't really say that for the whole thing as I haven't finished the whole game but I'm guessing that's how it works.

Controls- Hmm the controls are pretty alright. Camera angles are easy to work with and the controls are pretty responsive.

Battle system- Slow! That's the only word I can say actually xD The battle system is sort of like FFXII. There's a clock thingy there where it spins, and when it's full, you initiate attack.

The cool thing is when transforming into a knight. ... and some parts are pretty funny, I just can't remember where lol.

Rating for this game 2/5. I wouldn't really recommend people to get it I guess.

Bayonetta

I got it after hearing so many people saying it's fucking AWESUMZ. Influential people? Jingna and even Danny Choo! So I went to watch the trailer and FUCK (excuse my French) it was GOOD. I've heard complaints that the PS3 version had horrible loading time... which was true actually. (I've tried it). They had a patch which was the "INSTALL" option for the game, it takes about 4.5GB? of your hard-drive but it increases the load times DRAMATICALLY. I'm serious.

Graphics- Most say that it's inferior to the 360's version but still... a ported-to-PS3 game... it's still a sweet deal. I wouldn't trade it for the Xbox version. I remember in my previous post I took a photo of my tv using my SLR... it was showing Bayonetta. :3 All in all, I think the graphics for Bayonetta PS3 version is splendid, up to the PS3 standards.

Storyline- Hmm I have to say I never thought I'd be playing a witch fighting against angels lol. So it's not the typical hero saves the world storyline. Kudos to that. And a kickass megane (spectacles) witch? Not something we see so often too. I've been playing til early mornings just cause I wanted to know what happened next ==; Oh god I'm so addicted.

Controls+Camera- Very good I'd have to say. When it gets to a certain angle maybe near a wall or blocked by other objects, you can still see what you're doing? o_O And it's responsive too, the controls I mean.

Battle- The battle is similar to Devil May Cry, with more exaggerated moves in big scales. And there's the fun in different sorts of combos *-* Never play Easy mode as.... it's boring to mash the same button over and over again. Go to youtube to see the videos. I couldn't find one I like xD

I can only sing praises for this game. It's really got me hooked with the cheesy lines, oversexed moves, amazing graphics, and the remix version of Fly Me To The Moon (I love this song and I love them for remixing it).

Rating- 5/5 *-*

As for the rest of the games... which are demos. I'll put it in another post for next time.

The list would be Dante's Inferno, Heavy Rain, Ninja Gaiden, Lair, Mirror's Edge... I can't remember what else. Maybe Metal Gear Solid and Siren.

Oh yeah went walking around Gurney again today before going back. Stopped by The Mod House and ended up trying a dress without looking at the price first LOL. In the end after I tried it out... I still got it =.=;;; holy shit it was RM389! Luckily there's like 40% discount, but still it cost RM233+. Ehh I've overspent OVERSPENT this month YES MONTH even though it's still the beginning of the month now. Spent RM33 on a basic tee -- Dorothy Perkins. RM66 on two Topshop basic tank tops =.= crap.

My second assignment for 3D Design... an animal made using wires. I did a whale.

Bought a pair of sandals from Royal Sporting House on Saturday... iPanema Gisele Bundchen collection xD My favorite brand of flip flops and sandals. Gonna snap a pic next time since I couldn't find it on google.

Yesterday I watched a movie with my brother- Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. It was predictable, the storyline and even the lines but still I thought it was worth watching. The effects were good, and some parts were pretty funny actually xD Uma Thurman as Medusa, yup scary. The Hydra was nicely animated too. So I recommend this movie anyways.
Later on we went to Xuan Xin next to Sakae Sushi at Gurney... My brother ordered the crispy noodlez. Was pretty alright too.
and I ordered this... rice+minced beef+egg.
Now I'm in Charlie's room, helping her clean the ants LOL. Apparently it was found in her pantyliners O_O WTF. Intimate pantyliners attract ants? Pictures below taken using my crappy phone camera.

Lol like the title says.

Today my relatives from Ipoh came over. And some of the cousins here came over too. After having lunch, 2 of my cousins and I went to the CC. (Cyber Cafe) for Left4Dead 2.

Halfway through the game, the cops barged in! O_o wth... we were asked to leave for awhile by the owner, but when we stood up he asked "Are you over 18?" I said "yeah" then he told us we could stay. Man this is the first time ever that the police came in to the cyber cafe to get kids below 18 outta there? o.o never seen it happen... plus it's not a school day too! It's the holidays. Pfft.

First of all, I AM late for wishing everyone a Happy Chinese New Year, Gong Xi Fa Cai and Valentine's. I was online, not for long though... Been kinda busy since I came back. Going around helping in the house, then hanging out with friends. Soooo it's like wake up, eat go out, eat go out, sleep life for me xD

Woke up this morning and had some free time waiting for my brother. So took a quick snap at myself lol. New year clothes fwee~
Anyways went to my relative's house in Penang... and hung out there until evening. Also I watched Beyonce's I Am... Yours concert for the second time. Still as awesome as ever *-*

On the way back, I snapped a photo in the car with my mom... well kinda LOL. Her seatbelt was still tied haha.

Hmm where do I start...

First of all, at the start of the month, Ting made a resolution that she wouldn't say "what the fuck" this whole month. If she did she has to pay RM1 each time she says it lol. And if she says "what the..." or anything that's almost like "fuck" she's be fined 50 cents. Then recently I said if she steps on my foot or kicks it accidentally, she has to pay RM1 or RM2. xD It depends on how hard she steps on me.

Then something went wrong with my Macbook Pro. When I went back to my hometown and I turned it on, the fan was seriously loud. LOUD! So I had it checked out. I got it right though, faulty fan. Have to change it. BUT BUT BUT! The sad thing is that, the shipping for Apple is closed ><; won't open until the 22nd this month holy shit. So no Mac for now... I'm using Charlie's PINK Toshiba to get online lol.

Oh man I'm gonna be pokai these few days.

Tomorrow -- Gonna have a party with Farel the birthday boy :3

Thursday -- Class party at Faces.

Friday -- Queensbay here we come!!!

Alright so today we (Me, Yuko, Char, CK and Jun) went to Gurney (again!) This time Yuko FINALLY bought a pair of heels from Charles and Keith. Though we spent over an hour inside cause the heels she wanted were mostly out of her size LOL. But she finally got one, I don't have a pic of it tho. Then CK went to Topshop and got some stuff too :3

My turn, I went inside Parkson and went straight to Paris Hilton, aiming for a new purse cause mine's already old.

I chose this in the end ♥ Didn't take the plastic off the logo yet the time I took the photo.

We went to Max Gourmet and ordered a whole lot of stuff to eat! Gonna grow FAT.

So my parents came over on Friday and brought me shopping whee~ Charles and Keith was my first stop!

Got a turtleneck top. Was gonna get black but they were outta my size (only XLs were left DAMN)

YES THIS TOP/DRESS-LIKE thingy IS SPHARKLY!! I'd rather wear it without pants, looks better on me. XD

I don't feel like I'm done shopping. I want a Paris Hilton purse so badly but it's like RM180++ holy crap I say ==; But I'm pretty determined to get it lol. I'll update more when I get more stuff >D
